Goa is also India’s most ‘Europe-like’ state, its culture deeply influenced by the Portuguese, who administered Goa for four centuries. They themselves saw Goa as the crown jewel, for its culture as well as location. The Konkan is a land of abundance; its cultures and cuisines reflect these riches.
